What We Believe
God is one
There is one God who knows all things and has all power. He is our creator, father, savior and friend.
(Deut 6:4, Matthew 28:18, I Timothy 3:16)
The Bible, inspired and infallible
The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the authoritative source for all doctrine. It is also without error. (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).
State of mankind
Through disobedience, mankind entered into sin and permanent spiritual separation from God. (Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)
Salvation by God's grace
Nothing we do on our own can restore the prior state of man’s right standing with God. However, because of Jesus’ obedience at Calvary, God has provided a way of escape from sin. Because of God’s grace we can now be free. (Romans 5:19, John 3:16 Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8, John 8:36)
What must I do?
Although man’s salvation is offered freely by God’s grace and through faith in Him, we are required to seek after God and obey his plan for entering into His kingdom. Jesus himself declared that we must be born again of water and spirit. We do this through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of God’s spirit, the Holy Ghost. (Hebrews 11:6, John 3:5, Acts 2:37-39)
Leading an Overcoming Life
Once we are born again into His kingdom, we have power to lead an overcoming life against sin and to fulfill the great commission as witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 6:10-18, Phillipians 4:13)
Operation of Spiritual Gifts in the Church
The operation of God’s spirit is present in the Church today. Prophecy, healings, working of miracles and other gifts of the spirit serve to edify and perfect believers, meet physical and spiritual needs and demonstrate the presence and authenticity of God’s power to all the world (Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15, I Corinthians 12:1-8)
