We are so excited that you are allowing your teenager to join us for North American Youth Congress. This year, the event will be taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana.
We are scheduled to Depart DFC at 7:30am Monday, July 21st and as a result it is imperative that your child be at the church ready to load their luggage no later than 7:00am. Please make sure that your child eats before arriving to the church. We will return to DFC on Sunday morning roughly 2:00am, July 27th.
We will keep in contact with all parents to ensure that if this time does change, you will be notified. We want to stick as closely to the schedule while also giving the students time to make this trip memorable. Should you need to discuss an accommodation to this schedule please reach out to Pastor Julien, Sis. Gracie Hunt, or Sis. Melissa Hanson.
We are blessed this year to hear speakers like ; DJ Hill, Jonathan Quinones, Jerry Jones, Taylor Fish, Gentry Mangun and Joel Urshan. There will be life transforming sessions and encounters with the Lord, they will accept their callings and grow closer to the Lord in their relationship.
If you have received and not turned in a Medical Release Form, PLEASE turn one in as soon as possible. The Medical Release Form is mandatory in order for your student to attend our event.
I would ask that throughout the week you take time to reflect on the desire these young people have to seek God and what you can do to help nurture that after your student returns home. In addition, I would ask that throughout the week you be in prayer for these young people, that God would speak to their hearts and strengthen their desire to follow Him.

Rules/Regulations
Important

Please make arrangements in advance to ensure your student is dropped off and picked up at Dallas First Church at the appointed time on the itinerary as the bus will be departing as indicated on the schedule, late exceptions will NOT be made.

Please ensure that the required Medical Release form is filled out in its entirety and turned in to Sis. Melissa, Sis. Brande, Sis. Gracie, and/or Pastor Julien. Any student that does not have a Medical Release form on file will not be allowed to board the bus.

Electronic devices will be taken up and securely stored by Youth Staff every night by Room Chaperone Leader. We do recommend students to bring their phone on this trip in particular in order to communicate with family due to it being longer trip and further from home. We ask that all students be respectful when Youth Staff ask to turn in their phones be it at night time before bed, or during services.

Profane or violent behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Students must comply with dress code requirements at all times.

Guys/Girls are restricted from being unsupervised outside of an organized event.

If any misbehavior or failure to comply with rules, first offense will result in a conversation and a call to parents. Second offense will result in dismissal and require a parent to pick up their student. Please, let’s avoid this.

In Case of Emergency

Severe weather – Stay inside and away from windows and wait for instructions from youth staff.

Fire – Evacuate building – Congregate outside venue or hotel.

Medical – Contact 911 and youth staff immediately.

Youth Staff Medical Training - Julien Hunt and Melissa Hanson are certified with their First Aid/CPR certification. We will also have first aid kits available and ready to care for any minor accidents that may occur.
Weapons

Firearms of any kind are not permitted; including but not limited to automatic weapons, muzzle loaders or air guns.

Knifes, nightsticks of any kind are not permitted.
Violations to any of these rules/regulations may result in expulsion from the NAYC trip.
